Oven baked vegetables with Louisiana 18
For this recipe, you can use a variety of vegetables to suit your taste.
Preparation
- Wash the vegetables thoroughly and cut them into (more or less) equal sized pieces.
- Pour olive oil over the vegetables and sprinkle Louisiana 18 generously over them. Spread everything well so that the oil and the spice mixture goes everywhere.
- I usually put the vegetables in the oven preheated to 200° C with top heat and turn off the temperature. The caramelization flavors develop faster in the high heat and the vegetables stay firm to the bite. They should be ready in 15 to 18 minutes.
You can bake the vegetables at a lower temperature, too - it's all a matter of taste.
You can of course prepare the vegetables on the grill instead of in the oven! Don't cut the vegetables too small so that they don't fall through the grid.
Note about salt content
Louisiana 18 contains very little salt.
It's enough for me, but not everyone eats that low in salt. Therefore, you can also add salt to your taste when seasoning.
Tips
- You can also use the Seasoned Salt for seasoning. It has a much higher salt content and you probably won't need any additional salt.
- If you want to add hotness to your vegetables, you can also add Louisiana Hot or some Louisiana Sun!
