Use

I use Louisiana 18 on almost everything, but I suppose you want a little tip or two. My most useful tip is to use it wherever you add salt and pepper:

  • chicken, pork, beef
  • fish, shellfish
  • eggs
  • tofu
  • roasted, fried, or grilled vegetables
  • your noodle water before you cook your noodles. Works also for couscous, polenta and rice.
  • whole grain pasta, noodles, polenta and rice
  • any kind of potato: baked, roasted, fried or as chips.
  • dips & creams: When mixed with yogurt, hummus, sugo, sauces, mayonnaise, even ketchup and guacamole, Louisiana 18 develops a rich flavor.
  • bread and crackers: It is delicious sprinkled on flatbread or pita.


Note: With Moore than Spice products, the salt content is minimal. You may need to add additional salt to your personal taste.

Tangy yogurt sauce with Moore than Spice Louisiana 18

Mix the ingredients in a bowl to quickly create a tasty dip.

Ingredients

250 mlyogurt or sour creme
1 heaped tbs.Louisiana 18
 juice from ½ orange
 fresh herbs, finely chopped (if desired)
 a pinch of salt
 a pinch of pepper, eg. Black Gold or simply black pepper

Wet rub

You can intensify the taste of Louisiana 18 when you not only season with it, but when you create a “wet rub” glaze, using your Louisiana 18.

Ingredients for 1.5 kg meat:

3 tbs.Louisiana 18
2 tbs.olive oil (or any other oil to your taste)
1 tbs.Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs.honey
1 tbs.orange juice

Tip: If you want to add some hotness to your wet rub, you can also add 1 tbs. of Louisiana Hot!
